Documentary video

An organization may have reports, figures, photos and clips collected over months or years, but they are scattered across files, presentations and posts. When preparing for an official occasion or an annual review, it is hard to bring them together into a single narrative that explains the context, the progress and the outcome.

• A project that has gone through many stages, where you need to show how it began and how far it has come.
• Achievements spread across teams, reports and archives that are hard to present in a limited screening time.
• An initiative with a human or institutional impact whose context you want to explain, rather than just showing scattered photos.

We organize the material around a well-documented story and select what serves it, so the organization ends up with a film that explains what happened and brings together its key milestones in an easy-to-follow sequence.

From scattered files and archives… to a coherent documentary story

The film can be screened at meetings, events and annual occasions, and used on the website, digital platforms and in reports, according to the agreed usage versions.

This service suits you if

• Your organization wants to produce a film about its journey or the milestones of its development over a specific period.
• You have an annual review or an official occasion and need to summarize your achievements in a coherent way.
• You lead a community initiative or a corporate program and need to explain its story and impact to the public.
• You have photos, videos and archives you want to turn into cohesive material that is easy to present and preserve.

If what you need is an advertisement to prompt a specific action, or a short corporate film about your organization's services, each of those calls for a different approach. A documentary centers on the story, the evidence and the sequence of events.

Why KOMIT?

1. 01

We look for the story within the material you have

We review the archives, reports and core information, and identify the milestones and messages that deserve to be featured, so the film does not turn into a list of achievements without context.

2. 02

We turn information into an easy-to-follow sequence

3. 03

We produce a film suited to corporate use

We treat the archive material, build the edit, pacing, sound and picture, and prepare the final version for the occasion or screening channel specified in the approved scope.

Deliverables shaped by the length of the story and its material

Service options

“The Concise Documentary Report”: 2–3 minutes long, based on the available archive, with concept, script, archive research, graphics, music and editing. “Long-Form Documentary Films”: 10 minutes or more, or several parts, with a scope set according to the subject, the sources and the field production.

What the work includes

Research and gathering of material and information, writing the treatment and script, sorting the archive, building the story-driven edit, designing suitable graphics, on-screen text and explanatory maps, picture and sound treatment, and delivery.

Types of work

An achievements report, a film about an organization's journey or a project's development, documentation of an initiative or social impact, or a long-form documentary that requires research, filming and interviews.

Reference timeline

8 working days for the concise documentary report only, once the material is available and the project has started. Long-form films and work involving additional filming are given a separate plan.

The short-form production relies on the archive and material available. New field filming, interviews, reenactments or 3D graphics are not automatically part of the base package; their scope and cost are set on request.
